Solving Exponential Growth and Decay Word Problems

Use exponential growth and decay equations with and without compounding to solve for future amounts or for the number of time periods to reach a goal. Remember, to solve for an exponent, you will rewrite the equation in logarithmic form. I also go over continuous compounding equations using the base “e” and the natural log ln(x).
